Ironically, the latest edition of "AMERICAN GLADIATORS" has gone belly-up and we still have yet to see some kind of "ROLLERGAMES" remake. Whatever you do in the future please heed these words, DON'T EVER TORTURE ANIMALS FOR SHOCK VALUE AGAIN ! I'll be prepared to boycott this time around 'cause I'm OLDER and WISER these days!

By the way, this episode of RollerGames delivered a 4.7 national rating in syndication. That same week, American Gladiators got a 2.5 national rating. RollerGames was #1 with kids, teens, and men 18-34. In New York, this episode got close to a 10 rating.

As stupid as the gators were, Sams did one thing right here and that was taking the World Title AWAY from the T-Birds. They NEVER lost a championship for the most part prior to this and it killed all of their credibility over a decade before. An outcome like this didn't help either but at least we finally got to see the T-Birds lose a game that mattered.

Thank you, this was a major production to mount! Chet Forte, the long-time director of ABC's Monday Night Football, was my director. He did a fantastic job capturing the action. Chet told me that RollerGames was actually more challenging to shoot than MNF--because there was so much going on at the same time (on the track).
