I think the reason for the cancellation of the sport was because of the late timeslot. in PA where I"m from, the show aired from 11:30p.m to 12:30p.m. on CBS.

If the show had an earlier time slot at the time, the ratings might have been better and the show could have lasted.

I hope RollerGames comes back with the Wall of Death and the Jet Jump again. It was the most exciting one out of all the earlier ones I've heard about.

This brings back good memories! I was in my late 20's, pushing 30, when Rock-N-Rollergames came on. It is good to see the skaters from this show again, in action. T-Birds, Maniacs, Rockers, Violators, Bad Attitude and Hot Flash.....they all did a great job to entertain us with the games.

Travis....I do remember when Harold Jackson went flying over the top rail on the wall of death. He did get an injury out of it, as he hurt his leg. I've seen him go flying over the rails at the Olympic Auditorium, into a row of chairs after getting a hit or push by a T-Bird. Harold Jackson took a lot of risks, all for the sake of entertainment. My hats off to him!

As to why it stopped.....who knows? This kind of sports entertainment costs money, as it does to produce the show. If no one is backing the TV show, it makes it more difficult to produce it. I'm not saying that's what happened, but that is a possibility. There are probably a lot of other factors as well, as to why the Rock-N-Roller Games didn't continue, but my guess is either lack of interest or lack of sponsorship...or both.

Rock and F'N Rollergames baby! I came across the site on you tube and got hooked. I'm with Scott, I'll pay for a complete season. The Violators rule! You guys remember when Mr. Mean fell over the wall of death? I was young but still remember it. I want more! Geat site, David. I'll support you 100%

I liked it as a kid. I wish I could get my hands on the complete episodes. I would pay for this on DVD>

Wow, watching that was exciting, I luved watching all the teams come thro the smoked filled tunnel, I am anticipating the return of Rollergames, Thank you David for posting this...

David! Thank you SO much for sharing this, it brought back some oh so beautiful memories. The theme song ahh I haven't heard that in years! Can't wait for Part 2!

I'm excited for Rollergames return. When it comes back, I'll -definately- be getting cable/satellite whatever. No way I'm missing my Rollergames! Thanks again for this and for all the hard work you're doing to get it back! :)

One question: if the Roller Games were so great during the gator era, why did it stop? How expensive it is to produce a game like that. It seemed to be produced for television and not realistic for weekly games in a regular auditorium.
