Well, so far, my season is rather un eventful. I've only been in 1 race, and will be sitting out on another race tomorrow (5-30-09), only because I had to shell out $260 for a brand new radiator for my truck. I had a couple cracks in the upper inlet of the radiator, and over the last few days, the leak got worse. So, I got it fixed today, and now I have nothing to worry about with this radiator......for now! LOL I can drive a little more aggressive with the truck, instead of babying it. I can now be more confident if I have to jump over to Las Vegas to see Derby out there and take some great shots, or even if I make it to Kezar, which I still want to do, and see the Bombers play....and get some great shots as well.
Anyway, getting back to my season. My division has raced 4 or 5 races already, and I have only been in 1 of them. It wasn't the best outing for me, as my carburator was giving me problems. The car ran great down the straights, but when I went into the turns and put my foot into the throttle, it just didn't want to go. THEN.....in the main event, the officials had the great idea of inverting the field, putting me on the pole. They dropped the green flag and we put our foot to the floor....and as we went into turn 1, my car slid up track and got into the left rear quarter panel of another competitor, and she and I ended up in the infield. We're still cool with each other, but my bumper is messed up and so is my hood. I'll be working on that this weekend.....I hope. LOL I'm currently, as of right now, 13th in points out of 20 drivers, and I have 38 points. I'm tied with one other driver with 38 points, and if he races tomorrow, I fall behind to either 14th in points or maybe 15th. I'll see how that goes tomorrow.
I'll keep you posted as things go along. :-)
