Derby round 2

So I had a bit of a false start last year, in that I started ma freshy training, then had to quit cause of uni/work. I discovered that my skates were actually quite dangerous to skate on, and would need a new pair of proper derby boots.

SO. Last week I emailed VRDL(my local league) to rejoin when they have their next freshies intake, aaaaaaaaaaaand I ordered a new pair of Reidells!!! I'm so excited, but I have to wait for them to be sent over from Adelaide...

As soon as I get them and I've gone for a spin, I'm gonna have a fb fotoshoot and put up some pix :D

Yes. Derby can be expensive. There is training, travel and uniform costs too.

My skates arrived yesterday and I spent all afternoon rolling around the house!
I bought a set of wheels for skating outdoors as well so I could go for a spin on the bike path near my house, but I need to get some bearings for them :( more money, more waiting...

Good luck. Skater every day. Put your feet in the skates every day and walk around the house. Get used to being on skates, if you're serious this time around the flat track.
