I read the book "Roller babes" Written by Tim Patten. I found it quite the time warp, with 50's cool lingo. - I wasn't born then- lol. I found it to be a little depressing, but in ways uplifting, some of the highlights I will mention are the Direct quotes used by a couple of the skaters. Clear references to some of the most well known skaters, and the fact that the derby was basically available to anyone that wanted to skate for it.
