- For the past year I have been deeply involved in the Arizona flat-track roller derby scene. During this time, I was independent and that gave me the opportunity to report on derby as well as learn about this great sport and the operations that go into running a league. As a result of this interest, I found myself starting to skate for the first time in over 30 years. As a transgendered skater, I welcome the openness of the OSDA, especially since they have co-ed teams. I hope to make derby more open to more people. With this insight as well as the experience gained from covering leagues throughout the state, I have been asked to join OSDA as an advisor.

Some thoughts on the Renegade Rollergirls
I am in the middle of doing the video captures from the last bout between the AZ and OC Renegade Rollergirls. I am up to the part in the second period when T-Wrexx goes down on the backstretch.It was apparent she was not going to get up on her own and get back into the jam.

NEW VIDEO!! Renegades vs. AZDD (1 day preview only!!)
When I produce the bout videos for Michi-chan's REAL Derby (which I refer to as capsules), I will upload the individual capsules to YouTube but in a private mode. This is done to test how they will be seen on the site and it's also to give league representatives and others a sneak preview.

Support OSDA - purchase ad space in Championship program
The OSDA will be publishing a Championship Game program that will feature information on all of the OSDA leagues and will feature articles with the Championship honorees Buddy Atkinson Jr., Arnold Schoen and Judy Arnold.
Ad rates run from $25 for a business card to $200 for a full page. 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2 page also available.

I don't know if a "battle of the sexes" will have much of a commercial appeal. I think it would be better to have a pure co-ed game where guys and girls skate in the same jam on the same team. We don't know each other, but I watch and enjoy your creativity in videos. I also read on here that your group is looking into a banked track. YEAH!!!
I added notes to the banked track initiative here at this site in order to help newer groups.
League's built banked tracks over the years in order to prevent injuries to skaters. The desire was to reduce the danger in the sport while exploiting the mayhem but allowing skaters to have long careers with fewer injuries.
Injuries can frighten newer skaters away. And leagues understand that the skaters is the most important asset in derby and should do all it can to protect and nurture those skaters.
