I just heard about the earth quake in California. I hope everyone is safe. I bet you are glad you and your family are not in Disneyland today. We had a big one here in Newcastle a few years ago. Badly damaged our area and several people died. so I know how scary they are.
Good luck for your game at the Kezar Pavillion on the 23rd. Who do you skate against. Can you send me your team line up. I will be cheering for them.
Keep Safe
Carol
You'd have a great time if you came out. I just got back from Disneyland with the kids and that is definately another place you'd have to visit.
The team is going great and we're looking forward to skating in our "old home", Kezar Pavilion, on August 23rd.
Take care,
Jim
I understand that the new "Team Canada" is going to Australia next year to take on some of the leagues down under.
Lets keep our fingers crossed we will return to Australia one day soon. In the mean time, maybe you can plan a vacation to come out and see one of our games live.
Take care,
Jim
This was duringthe days of Roller derby in years later Roller Games made the next apperance there Im sure there is now flat track skating team.
Not the same type of game but its just as exciting
Take care .LoveLoretta
Ann Calvello often spoke fondly about that time (1966) while on tour in Australia. She had a great posed shot of herself on a beach with wrestling legond, Pepper Gomez who was also on tour wrestling in Australia.
Nick Scopas was a great skater and later married Joan Weston.
Maybe one day Rollergames will be on tour in your neck of the woods.
Take care,
Jim
